Research direction

Inspect jit.c and pystats.h, starting at OPT_STAT_ADD and the OptimizationStats definition to compare the referenced field with the declared structure. The work is done when the JIT build succeeds and pystats collection no longer fails because of the missing field; linked PR gh-148220 indicates that work is already underway.
