Description

Feature or enhancement

Proposal:

CPython hides PyFrameObject internals so Cython include pycore_frame.h to set f_lineno.
Let's provide PyFrame_SetLineNumber() for Cython.

Has this already been discussed elsewhere?

This is a minor feature, which does not need previous discussion elsewhere

Research direction

The proposal names no source file or test. Review the prior discussion at PR 117551 and the linked PR gh-131246 first; the requested outcome is a public PyFrame_SetLineNumber() API that lets Cython avoid including pycore_frame.h. Confirm completion by checking that the API is exposed and usable for that stated Cython use case.
