Research direction

Locate abnf_regex in the Python package and review how its patterns are currently documented or exposed. Document how to create a pattern matching any IP address hostname and explain its use for libraries such as IDNA encoding; done means the guidance is available within abnf_regex and is understandable without additional issue context.
