Description
Because of integration with a test management/reporting system we have a lot of generated marks consisting of a prefix and a number. I'm submitting a pull request to allow registering marks using regex (or any object with a match() method)

Research direction
The issue names no files or tests. Start by locating pytest's mark-registration entry point and its existing registration tests; verify how generated prefix-and-number marks are handled. Done means regexes or objects with a match() method can register those marks, with coverage for the new behavior.
