Description
Moved from pytest-dev/pytest#2282, reported by @orenovadia:
Hi,
I've noticed that when specifying positional arguments file_or_dir, The usual ERROR: file not found: dir_does_not_exist/ does not appear when running py.test with the -n option.
Example:
py.test -n2 dir_does_not_exist/
Thanks

Research direction
Start by reproducing py.test -n2 dir_does_not_exist/ and compare it with the same command without -n. Trace how positional file_or_dir arguments are handled in multi-process mode, then add regression coverage for the missing-path case. Done means the usual ERROR: file not found: dir_does_not_exist/ is reported with -n.
