Description

Description

This make it hard to import even basic stuff, since some modules want to import stuff defined in the __init__, while __init__ is importing everything else.

Research direction

Start by inspecting tensor.init.py and the modules it imports to understand the circular import described in the issue. Map which functions are defined or re-exported there and identify the intended destination for each. Done means basic imports no longer fail because of the package initializer's import order, with the relevant import behavior covered by existing tests.
