Description

If I manually navigate to a pymc example page on my iPhone and I look at the URL in the address bar and copy it I get this

https://www.pymc.io/projects/examples/en/latest/causal_inference/excess_deaths.html

which works.

But when you click on the export icon, see pic
image
and choose copy, then you get a different (and non functioning) URL

https://www.pymc.io/projects/examples/causal_inference/excess_deaths.html

I have no insights about what is happening here. But this is a very common workflow on the iPhone (eg copying a link to put on social media).

I don't know if there's a similar feature on Android or whether the same thing occurs. Maybe someone else can confirm?

Research direction

Reproduce the copy action from the export icon on the iPhone URL for the excess_deaths example and compare it with the address-bar URL. Trace how the copied link is generated for that page; done means the copied URL includes /en/latest/ and opens successfully.
