Description
Or pull it out to somewhere more universal like pyiron_snippets.
I find it's nice to use it in downstream libraries, just so everyone is following a consistent pattern in generating names; it makes things more readable.

Research direction
Start by inspecting flowrep.parsers.label_helpers.unique_suffix and how downstream imports are expected to work. Compare exposing it from flowrep with moving it to pyiron_snippets, then verify that the chosen location provides a stable, reusable import for downstream libraries and preserves consistent name generation.
