Description

Hi Pusher Team,

I wanted to let you know that I found a bit of a snag with the Flutter package for Pusher Channels. It seems like the package isn't being updated as often as it should be.

Following the official guide to get started with Pusher Channels in Flutter (https://pusher.com/docs/channels/getting_started/flutter/) leads to errors when trying to build new apps because of latest flutter version.

The good news is that it looks like there might already be fixes for these errors. People have submitted these fixes as pull requests on GitHub (https://github.com/pusher/pusher-channels-flutter), but it seems like no one has reviewed and merged them in yet, I understand the maintainer is/are busy & does everything they can but if possible can someone check this?

Merging those pull requests could really help people avoid these build problems when creating new Flutter apps with Pusher Channels.

Thanks!

Research direction

Start with the Flutter quick-start guide at https://pusher.com/docs/channels/getting_started/flutter/ and reproduce its build errors using the latest Flutter version. Then inspect the proposed fixes in the pusher-channels-flutter pull requests; done means the guide and package path no longer lead to the reported build problems.
