Description
Describe the Change You Would Like
https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet-resource_api/pull/181 only shows manual acceptance testing. It'd be valueable to show basic unit testing strategies for the code presented to give folks a starting point for their own efforts.

Research direction
Start by reading pull request 181 and the hands-on lab it introduces, noting the code and manual acceptance-testing examples already presented. Add basic unit-testing strategies for that code, with examples that give readers a starting point for their own tests; the lab should cover both testing approaches.
