Description

Redmine Issue: 7921, https://pulp.plan.io/issues/7921
There are different types of proxies - http, https, and SOCKS5. We only use the word "proxy" so it is not clear which of these types Pulp supports and which are not supported.
The impression I get is that only http proxies are supported and no others, but I'm not sure.

Research direction
The issue does not name a documentation file, test, or code entry point. First locate the existing proxy documentation and the configuration or request path that determines proxy support, then document which HTTP, HTTPS, and SOCKS5 types are supported and verify the wording against the available behavior.
