Description

Author: @bmbouter (bmbouter)

Redmine Issue: 6871, https://pulp.plan.io/issues/6871

Goal

Users storing content in pulp_container should derive benefit from security scanning of docker containers that are out there.

Existing Tools

The idea is to integrate a tool not make a new one. Here are some options I've read about from this article.

Research direction

Begin with the linked Redmine issue 6871 and compare the listed scanner options: Trivy, Anchore Engine, and Clair with Klar. Then inspect the existing pulp_container integration points; done means a selected scanner is integrated so users can obtain security scan results for stored container content.
