Description

Hi,

This is a problem I have everytime I do a python update. I am using ipython in a terminal, I am plotting a few things, then click on the save button but the popup window appears and disappears in a second. To make in work I have to downgrad prompt-toolkit to version 3.0.4.

I have Python 3.8.12, IPython 8.3.0, matplotlib 3.4.3

Research direction

Start by reproducing the save-button behavior in an IPython terminal with Python 3.8.12, IPython 8.3.0, and matplotlib 3.4.3, then compare prompt-toolkit 3.0.4 with the updated version. Done means the save popup remains open and usable without downgrading prompt-toolkit.
