Is it possible to emulate PyQt's interface and event handling?

Description
As far as I know,
all PyQt controls(such as QPushButton, QTreeWidget, QTableWidget and so on) inherit from QWidget.
QWidget has MouseEvent, PressEvent and so on.
Subclasses simply inherit from QWidget and override the Event function.
And QWidget has an EventFilter to filter events or prevent them from bubbling.
In addition, Qt also uses signal/slot for decoupling.
