Description
I have noticed that the SIGINT is handled correctly in the input prompt - to a point that a developer won't even need to catch a KeyboardInterrupt, but the same does not happen for SIGABRT and an Aborted! message turns up.

Research direction
The issue names no files or tests; start by reproducing SIGABRT while the input prompt is active and compare it with the existing SIGINT behavior. Done means SIGABRT is handled without the raw Aborted! message, with behavior matching the prompt's SIGINT handling.
