Description
In Linux, the error counter for block devices can be retrieved from /sys/block/*/device/ioerr_cnt, but the current diskstats controller does not support them.
My use case that uses this counter is to detect if an HDD is broken or not.

Research direction
Start with the diskstats controller and its existing disk metrics, then inspect the Linux sysfs path /sys/block/*/device/ioerr_cnt to understand the available counter. The work is done when the exporter exposes this counter for block devices and its output can be verified against the sysfs values.
