Description

Using the Kite application (https://github.com/kite-org/kite), I can't see the list of pods (or interact with them) when Kite connects to the Capsule Proxy.

Kite is a dashboard for visualizing and interacting with the cluster's status. When I connect to the cluster using administrator certificates for all resources, it displays correctly.

My intention is to achieve the same functionality by connecting to the Capsule Proxy. This way, I can offer users a dashboard with their objects restricted by Capsule and Capsule Proxy.

No errors appear in either the Kite or Capsule Proxy logs. The only issue is that Kite gets stuck "loading" and never finishes displaying anything.

Additional Context

  • Capsule Proxy version: (0.12.0) but it also fails in version 0.9.0

  • Kubernetes version: (1.34.3)

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue with Kite against Capsule Proxy 0.12.0 and Kubernetes 1.34.3, then compare it with the administrator-certificate connection that works. Check the Capsule Proxy and Kite behavior while loading the pod list and interacting with pods. Done means the pod list loads and pod interactions work through the proxy without errors.
