Research direction

Reproduce the issue in Processing 4.4.7 Portable on Ubuntu Studio 25.04 under Wayland, then trace the PDE menu behavior involved in pointer placement and mouse-button release. Done means menus appear at the pointer, remain visible after release, and can be activated with the mouse as well as the keyboard.
