Description

Increasing Access

There are many wonderful and inspiring p5.js learning materials that have been created by educators all over the world, but many frictions exist when it comes to getting them to contribute their resources to the education resources page.

Processing Foundation started our official are.na page, presenting an opportunity to decrease the barriers for educators to submit materials.

Most appropriate sub-area of p5.js?

Feature request details

The proposal is to integrate are.na's API to present are.na channels on the education resources page.

When it comes to content review and moderation, currently Processing Foundation hosts two public channels for anyone to submit projects that are Powered by p5.js and Powered by Processing Java. From there, the core team curates submitted content into closed channels – which also gives the team an opportunity to review block titles and descriptions to ensure legibility. A similar approach could be considered for the education resources page, with p5.js stewards or maintainers added to the closed channels.
