Description
p5.js version
N/A
What is your operating system?
None
Web browser and version
Firefox 144.0.2
Actual Behavior
I have a p5js web editor account I login to with GitHub. I recently changed both my web editor and GitHub usernames. These two usernames do not match each other. This seems to have unlinked my original account from my GitHub and email, and created a new account that these are linked to now.
I've always logged in with GitHub, so I tried resetting the password via my email. This however also links to the new account. I've also tried unsuccessfully logging in via username to the original account, with several different passwords.
My original username is jstro.io, and the new username is julesstrosahl
Expected Behavior
Changing my GitHub or p5js username should not unlink the two accounts from each other.
Steps to reproduce
Steps:
- Change GitHub username
- Change p5js username (not 100% sure on that ordering)
- Login via GitHub
Thanks in advance!

Research direction
Start by reproducing the account-linking flow with different GitHub and p5.js usernames, then trace the login and password-reset entry points involved. Done means changing either username no longer creates a separate account and the original account remains linked to GitHub and email.
