Description
While specifying debugdir for files in a subdirectory:
debugdir("") -> ".."
debugdir(".") -> ".."
debugdir("/") -> ""
debugdir("./") -> ".."
debugdir("../") -> "...."
debugdir("../../") -> "......"
The first and third should produce errors, since they are invalid paths.
In no case should the output be the empty string; the debugger crashes in this case.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the listed debugdir cases for files in an MSVC subdirectory, then locate the Premake implementation that handles debugdir paths. Verify that empty and root paths report errors, while every accepted path produces a non-empty result and does not cause the debugger to crash.
