Research direction

Start by locating the non-Workspace Explorer pane and the existing recent-folder behavior exposed through the File menu. Add quick-access links for several recently opened folders in the Explorer's available space, and verify that selecting one opens the corresponding folder.

Description

enhancement

In the case of a freshly opened Positron (or VSCode) window, the Explorer has a button with an option to Open Folder, but there's a lot of additional real estate here, and it would be convenient to list a few of the recently opened folders too for quick access (as is possible from the File menu, but that's several clicks away).
