Description

Analogous to ggplot2::geom_function(), but we can imagine a more 'parameterised' function where parameters can come from data mappings.
A challenge is going to be parsing user specified functions and translating that to rust.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by reviewing ggplot2::geom_function() and the existing Rust architecture for visual layers, then determine how user-specified functions and data-mapped parameters should be represented. Done means implementing function layers with parameter mappings and a defined translation path from user functions to Rust.
