Research direction
Start by reading issue #286 and the Runtime Version Scanner implementation to understand the proposed locking capability and where content is represented. Define which content can be deleted, how deletion should be initiated and confirmed, and what safeguards are required. Done means the deletion behavior is implemented and verified for the intended outdated or very old content.
