Description

Hi everyone,

When I am using the conversion to convert a publishing page to a modern page, this result in a page containing image webpart for a link in my old publishing page.

New modern page :

Old publishing page :

Am I missing something ? I do not want to translate my various links into modern webpart. It start breaking all the layout of the page. I want to keep link of my old publishing pages into link in my modern page ().

Research direction

Start by reproducing the publishing-page-to-modern-page conversion described in the issue and inspect PageTransformationInformation handling for links. Confirm how an old publishing-page link becomes an image web part. Done means links remain links in the modern page without breaking the existing layout.
