Description

Our javascript framework (coming from Javascript 2.0/Ecmascript standard 4) supports type specifications for variable as mentioned below.

let a: String;
let p: dw.catalog.Product;

Currently this is identified as an EmptyStatement node in the AST. Requirement is to identify such statement part of VariableDeclaration node in AST.

Research direction

Start by locating the JavaScript AST handling for EmptyStatement and VariableDeclaration, then parse the examples let a: String; and let p: dw.catalog.Product;. Confirm that each typed declaration is represented as part of a VariableDeclaration rather than an EmptyStatement; the issue mentions no specific files or tests.
