Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the plot download behavior in the react-plotly.js API and repository documentation, then determine whether a browser-based download can target a user-selected directory. Done means the five-minute downloads are saved to the requested local directory instead of Downloads.
