The error I received when I ran it first time was:

It prevents the plots from plotting in the docs, hopefully it is reproducable.

Start by running the example linked in matlab/2021-08-04-continuous-error-bars.md and compare the failure with the reported stack trace. Read findLegendAxis, plotlyfig/update, and fig2plotly at the locations shown; done means determining whether the example or the plotting path needs correction and verifying that the documented plots render without this error.
