Description

Currently, the graticules provided by lataxis and lonaxis for geographic plots do not seem to have an option to add corresponding tick labels. For example, cartopy achieves this to produce maps with tick labels like this one:

This would be a nice feature to have in plotly. Apologies if this is actually possible, or has already been requested or mentioned elsewhere, but I couldn't seem to find any documentation on this or any related issues.

Research direction

Start by investigating the existing lataxis and lonaxis options for geographic plots and checking the Plotly documentation for related axis-label support. The work is complete when geographic plots can display corresponding tick labels for graticules, with behavior comparable to the requested cartopy example.
