Description

Steps to reproduce (use https://jsfiddle.net/5tf14onw/1/) (order is crucial!)

  • I'm plotting several traces in a scatter plot.
  • I double click one trace ("Hydro turbines and pumps" (call it x)) in legend to have an isolated view.
  • I'm adding another trace ("Run-of-river" (call it y)).
  • I deselect x.
  • I deselect y. (On purpose, no trace visible now)
  • I add x and deselect it immediately again and add it again
  • Now I'm adding y. But it does not get displayed. Even though tooltips are shown for this trace when hovering.

Research direction

Start with the linked JSFiddle reproduction and follow the legend actions in the stated order. Investigate the trace visibility state after isolating, deselecting, and re-adding traces. Done means the newly added “Run-of-river” trace is displayed after the final legend actions, not merely available to tooltips.
