Description

Right now with scattermapbox we have to manually set center and zoom but it would be great to have a flag that uses the built-in Mapbox machine to fit bounds. Something like layout.mapbox.fitbounds: true | false

Research direction

Start by locating the scattermapbox implementation and its layout handling, then review the linked Mapbox GL JS fitBounds example. Determine how the proposed layout.mapbox.fitbounds flag should interact with existing center and zoom settings. Done means scattermapbox can fit its bounds when enabled, with coverage for the new behavior.
