Description
For filled scatters it would be useful to have the ability to set the opacity of the fill independently of the fillcolor. This would be particularly useful for dash design kit where trace color is updated but the user wants the fill to remain at a given opacity.

Research direction
The issue names no files or tests. Start by locating the filled-scatter trace entry point and reviewing how fillcolor is propagated; clarify the attribute shape and expected behavior before implementation. Done means filled scatters can keep a chosen fill opacity when trace color is updated, including the Dash design-kit use case.
