Description

Hi all,

I use Plotly to create plots in Shiny with a custom hover info using hovertemplate. However, some of my colleagues see "shifted" tooltips in Chrome and Edge (see screenshot). For me, everything behaves as it should. Is this a Plotly bug?

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Shiny plot with custom hovertemplate in Chrome and Edge, using the attached screenshot as the visual reference. Compare tooltip positioning across the browsers and determine whether the issue is specific to the browser or the Plotly integration. Done means the shifted tooltip behavior is reproduced, its scope is identified, and a verified correction is available.
