Description

As someone who is using Plotly R without ggplot, it would be helpful to have access to easy theming through some form of theming and templates.

At the minimum, it would be helpful to have some form of dark mode for accessibility and comfort without having to learn and adjust multiple plot parameters each time.

I hope it helps: RStudio offers a package called thematic to enable plots to match themes.

Temporary solution suggestions would be apprenticed.

Many thanks,

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by clarifying the intended theming or template scope for Plotly R, using RStudio's thematic package as a reference. Done should include an agreed dark-mode or broader theming design and corresponding validation criteria.
