Description
Is there any chance that the raincloud plots developed by Micah Allen and colleagues (https://wellcomeopenresearch.org/articles/4-63) could be implemented with plotly? I found this to be the best way of visualising single data points and summary statistics even when the sample is quite large. Seeing the overall distribution and interactively exploring individual data points at the same time would be hugely beneficial.

Research direction
The issue names no file, test, or entry point. Read the linked Wellcome Open Research article to define the raincloud plot components, then inspect existing plotly.R plotting APIs to identify where such a visualization could fit. Done means providing an interactive plot that shows distributions, summary statistics, and individual data points.
