Research direction
Start by reviewing the repository's session lifecycle and the existing session-related entry points. Determine how a caller with only a session ID should distinguish a live session from a closed one, and define the expected behavior for missing or invalid IDs. Done means the behavior and API surface are unambiguous and covered by appropriate tests.
