Description

Hi,

Just a humble suggestion, since now that the project is 100% maintained by our generous maintainers as per the announcement https://discuss.lightbend.com/t/on-the-future-of-play-framework/8920, perhaps as an additional source of income to support our maintainers - perhaps the project documentation can add ads banner, for example, the Carbon ads - like what other popular opensource project - e.g. Bootstrap, Vue are doing? I think it's reasonable for the banners to be there since they are pretty subtle and not intrusive.

Research direction

Start by reading the linked announcement about the project's future and reviewing the existing documentation site context. Determine whether non-intrusive advertising is acceptable and what scope would be approved; done requires a maintainer decision and a clearly defined implementation plan.
