Description

We have a number of issues around scenes/models where users have setups of transparent objects in front of other transparent objects but due to the size of the models, they are rendered in the 'incorrect' order

eg:
https://forum.playcanvas.com/t/solved-problem-with-transparent-textures-planes-are-not-sorted-correctly/24275
https://forum.playcanvas.com/t/transparency-alpha-render-issues/23779

Maybe something like: https://doc.babylonjs.com/divingDeeper/materials/advanced/transparent_rendering#the-transparencymode-property

Research direction

Start by investigating how transparent meshes are sorted during scene rendering. Read the two linked PlayCanvas forum discussions and compare the referenced Babylon.js transparency mode documentation. Done should be defined as a clear, agreed behavior for transparent objects that overlap or obscure one another.
