[Bug]: Flickering sidebar makes it unusable

Steps to reproduce

Currently experiencing this issue on Linux (fedora) with both the latest stable + nightly available.

"Restore defaults" in settings did not fix it.

Let me know which information I can provide to further debug this issue. In the meantime I'm letting codex investigate but I have little hope here that it figures that out tbh

Workaround

Changing font sizes / zoom levels / theme / resetting settings doesnt seem to do the trick

Start in apps/desktop by reproducing the sidebar flicker on Fedora with the latest stable and nightly builds, using the attached video as the behavioral reference. Investigate the sidebar rendering path and use the reported version, theme, zoom, and font-size variations to narrow the trigger; done means the sidebar remains visible and stable.
