DELETE FROM t1 WHERE id = (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM t1);
```

```
mysql> CREATE TABLE t1 (id INT);
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.05 sec)
mysql> INSERT INTO t1 VALUES (1), (2);
Query OK, 2 rows affected (0.00 sec)
Records: 2 Duplicates: 0 Warnings: 0
mysql> DELETE FROM t1 WHERE id = (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM t1);
ERROR 1093 (HY000): You can't specify target table 't1' for update in FROM clause
```
