Description

When performing a discover operation, vdirsync can create new collections on e.g. a CalDAV server.
Due to some naming mismatch, collections were created that shouldn't have been.
Can vdirsync help me to get rid of these collections?

Note that these collections are not recognized on the CalDAV server, so no help from that side :( .

Research direction

Start by tracing the discover operation in vdirsyncer and how it creates collections on CalDAV servers. Determine how collections that are not recognized remotely could be identified and removed, then verify the behavior against the reported naming-mismatch scenario.
