Description
I was looking for a better urwid calendar widget recently and discovered this project. I was wondering if you had considered releasing the UI bits (particularly but not limited to the calendar widget) as a separate package, as it seems like the kind of thing that could be generally useful for others developing urwid apps.

Research direction
This issue proposes moving khal's UI modules, especially the calendar widget, into a separate package for reuse in urwid applications. No files, tests, or entry points are named, so begin by locating the UI modules and their urwid dependencies. Done would require an agreed package boundary and release approach.
