Description
Description:
Documentation states that unlink clears file status cache automatically, but no other function is mentioned. Following code should therefore never execute echo statement.
$dir = 'test';
if (is_dir($dir)) {
rmdir($dir);
if (!is_dir($dir)) {
echo 'this should be unreachable';
}
}
If I execute the code when directory test exist it prints this should be unreachable, if I replace rmdir($dir); with shell_exec('rmdir ' . $dir); it doesn't print anything. So it looks like that rmdir also clears file status cache.
I think, that related code is there.
So I think that rmdir should also be mentioned in clearstatcache documentation.

Research direction
Start with the linked clearstatcache documentation and inspect the related behavior in main/streams/plain_wrapper.c around the referenced line. Confirm that rmdir clears the file status cache as shown, then update the clearstatcache documentation to mention rmdir and verify the wording against the PHP 8.2 behavior.
