Research direction
Start by reproducing the Visual mode, Shift+P, tab-switching, Escape, and f sequence in Vimium 2.1.2 on Chrome 129. The payload names no files or tests, so trace the tab and visual-mode handling from that interaction. Done means returning to the original tab and pressing f displays links as expected.
