Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue on the Cambridge Dictionary page in a narrow browser tab with Vimium 2.0.5, using the visible alphabet link such as “f.” Compare behavior with a wider tab where the search box appears; done means symbol navigation remains available when the search box is hidden.
