Description

Describe the bug
Include a clear bug description.
The link hints are shown when I hit 'F' but those links do not open at all when I type in the hint. I am using Firefox 108.0.2. The issue persists even after disabling all the other plugins.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open a page in Firefox (v108)
  2. Hit F to display link hints
  3. Click on link hint

Include a screenshot if applicable.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the link-hint flow in Firefox 108.0.2 with Vimium 1.67.6: press F, select a displayed hint, and observe whether the link opens. Trace the existing link-hint handling from that interaction; done means selecting a hint opens the intended link in a new tab.
