Moving between tabs without actually loading them

Description
Would it be possible to have a way where you can move between tabs (sort of like J K), but you don't actually load the pages that you visit along the way? For example if I have a tab I want to go to, but if I use J and K, I'll end up going past a few youtube tabs, which will end up inadvertently loading and causing some performance and ram issues along the way.
