Description

Describe the bug
When Firefox is started using MOZ_ENABELED_WAYLAND=1 firefox the Vomnibar 'Search through your open tabs' feature by hitting T does not jump to a tab in a different window (though it will jump to a tab in the current window). It behaves as expected when running MOZ_ENABELED_WAYLAND=0 firefox.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install SwayWM (or some other Wayland WM)
  2. Launch firefox with MOZ_ENABELED_WAYLAND=1 firefox
  3. Open a a couple tabs
  4. Open a new window and open a couple more tabs
  5. Hit shift-t to launch the Vomnibar and type in the name of a tab in the other window
  6. Witness its failure to switch windows

Browser and Vimium version
Firefox 76
Linux 5.4.0-7626-generic (Ubuntu 20.04 LTS)
Vimium 1.66

Research direction

Start by reproducing the Vomnibar open-tab search under Firefox with Wayland enabled and compare it with Wayland disabled, using the two-window steps in the report. Trace the tab-selection flow for a result in another window; done means selecting that result switches to its tab across windows under Wayland.
