Description

There seem to be many, many bugs describing various elements that are not selectable across different Google services (Gmail and Google Drive being the biggest offenders). Thought I'd add one more: links and buttons in (recently launched) dynamic emails containing Google Docs comment notifications.

Screenshot below hopefully illustrates the challenge -- no elements in this dynamic email have hints. I suspect this may be because Gmail shows no features to let Vimium know these are clickable, but thought it's worth sharing anyway.

To reproduce:

  1. Open Google Doc
  2. Tag a Google address in a comment (+email@gmail.com)
  3. Find notification email in Gmail
  4. Show Vimium hints
  5. Observe missing hints

Research direction

Reproduce the missing hints using the listed Google Docs comment notification and Gmail steps, then trace how Vimium identifies clickable links and buttons in that message. Done means the links and buttons in dynamic emails receive hints without breaking existing Gmail behavior; no specific source file or test is named in the issue.
