If i go ahead and enter '/' in exclusion keys from the extension shortcut icon, the '/' is repeated

Research direction

Reproduce the issue through the extension shortcut icon using '/' in the exclusion keys, then compare it with the options page where the behavior works correctly. Trace the shortcut and exclusion-key input entry points; done means '/' is entered once in the shortcut UI without affecting focused input behavior.
